Fans of both teams were excited to know the result about their favorite team as with today’s warm-up match India started their tour series against Victoria. Both India and Victoria are playing a three days test match at Junction Oval, Melbourne. After winning the toss, Indian captain elected to bat first.
However, India vs Victoria warm-up match was held after two and half an hour due to heavy rain with thunderstorm. India’s new captain Anil Kumble was rested so, MS Dhoni had to take the led of Indian team. Today only first season has been played where only 38 overs had been bowled. Indian cricket team has scored 110 for 3. The top three wickets were taken by Victory’s fast bowler Allan Wise. India were 3 for 38 and it could have been 4 for 39 when Ganguly got a thick edge off Siddle that flew marginally wide of the gully fielder. However, he reached his another test fifty (51) off facing 86 balls. He hit 8 boundaries in his way of half-century. Indian veteran batsman Rahul Dravid who started opening with the pair Wasim Jaffer still in crease. He also played another long inning scoring 33 in 112 balls. Ganguly and Dravid pair added unbeaten 72 runs in a fourth-wicket partnership in the first session that had stopped due to rain. Only six had been hit by Sachin Tendulkar. Wasim Jaffer got out without scoring any single run. V.V.S Laxman could not impress with his batting performance. However, more two days are left for Indian team. Pitch turns into a bowler friendly. And due to bad weather tomorrow both teams will come half and hour before to play the match.
Now, it is most talk of the time that India vs Victoria match will be finished with any result or we have to see any abandoned match due to bad weather.
