Real Madrid Experienced an Ordinary Cup Draw ahead of Barcelona Match

Real Madrid has come up with an ordinary draw against Segunda Division B club Alicante on Wednesday in a cup game. However, it is true that Real Madrid played a second team indeed ahead of their high profile showdown against Barcelona this weekend. However, resting some key player for the Barcelona clash was almost going wrong against Alicante before Balboa scored an injury time goal to level the score line 1-1. The score line is obviously not appropriate with the class of Real Madrid.

From the very beginning, Alicante was playing well and at one stage they seemed to win the match. They got some good chances but failed to score from those chances successfully. Polish goal keeper Jerzy Dudek has played his first official match for Real Madrid since his coming to Real Madrid on loan from Liverpool. His performance was impressive in this match as he has saved Real Madrid for some occasions.

Now, Barcelona vs Real Madrid match is in the center of all attention. Media focus is now only on this match. Real Madrid currently leads the league point table with 38 points. Barcelona now stands second with 24 points. So, you can see both the teams are now the strong contenders of championship race. Now, let us see if the cup games performance affects Real Madrid in their high profile clash with Barcelona.
