New Zealand vs Bangladesh: New Zealand Takes Lead winning the First Test by 9 WIckets

New Zealand team lead the series by 1-0 after winning the first Test beating tourist Bangladesh by 9 wickets in Dunedin inside three day.

New bowler Sajidul Islam made debut in this Test match.

Bangladesh team was 220 run away from their first innings. They started their second innings after host New Zealand dismissed for 357 runs.

Bangladesh team made a big score in the opening partnership. 161 runs without losing any wicket with Tamim Iqbal was not out 84 and Junaid Siddique who scored 74. Except them no one could play any big innings. Bangladeshi captain Mohammad Ashfaul and Shahriar Nafees tried hard to make big score but they failed. Mohammad Ashraful scored 23 off facing 62 balls whereas Shahriar consumed 82 balls for 28 runs including 4 boundaries.

New Zealand bowler Kyle Mills brought the first break threw the opening partnership . Bangladesh team stuttered from 161 for without losing any wicket to 254. They could manage 93 more runs in last 9 wickets.

Bangladesh team got dismissed after setting a 35 run chasing score against New Zealand team.

Chasing this poor score, New Zealand team reached losing one wicket before team in 8.1 over. Peter Fulton sealed the win with a massive six off Mohammad Ashraful. Leading pace spearhead Mashrafe Mortaza took the wicket of Craig Cumming.

New Zealand captain Daniel Vettori finished the day taking four for 70.

Chris Martin and Iain O’Brein got two wickets each. All rounder Jacob Oram got one wicket of Habibul Bashar.

Next New Zealand vs Bangladesh match will start from 12th January at Basin Reserve, Wellington.
