Seattle Seahawks Progressed to the Divisional Round

Seattle Seahawks has projected a superb 35-14 victory over wild card Washington Redskins in their way to reach at the divisional round of NFC. Winning the wild card match, Seattle Seahawks is set to face Green Bay Packers next week. Washington Redskins was a bit more defense in the match. Thus, they made the task easy for Seattle Seahawks who dominated most of the time in the match.

ESPN reported:

A kickoff that got lost in the swirling Seattle winds gave the Redskins the ball at the Seahawks' 14-yard line with a 14-13 lead. A touchdown might have knocked Seattle out, but a field goal would have at least sustained the momentum.

And that's when kicker Shaun Suisham toe-hooked a 30-yard field goal attempt. Seahawks quarterback Matt Hasselbeck, who had thrown two second-half interceptions, quickly led his team down the field for the go-ahead touchdown, and the Redskins never recovered. Seattle scored a 35-14 victory and advanced to play at Green Bay on Jan. 12.

Quarterback Matt Hasselbeck has scored an important touchdown which came in a crucial situation of the match. Actually, Washington Redskins could not show much resistance against Seattle Seahawks in the match. Now, it is yet to see if Washington Redskins can continue their performance in the divisional round as well.
