Cristiano Ronaldo Upbeat with 2007 Success

Manchester United is now in the second place of the premiership league table with 48 points. You may not be impressed with the performance of Manchester Untied as they are now in the leading place. However, if you are told that Manchester United got a bad start this season and they were going out of the championship race. The man played a big role behind their revival in the season was their Portuguese midfielder Cristiano Ronaldo. He is now the leading goal scorer of this season so far with 13 goals.

Cristiano Ronaldo was awarded the English Footballer of the year and it seems that he has continued his impressive run this season as well. The second best world player of the year has recently said that he is confident to perform better in 2008.

“I think I really did a good job of work. And I hope to do better in 2008.

“As usual the priority at United is the Premiership and the Champions League. These are the two most important trophies.

“Last year we had no luck against Milan in the semi-finals. I hope this time the wheel of fortune will turn in our favour. We have the means to do it.”

Indicating his early days in England, he has also revealed that he is now a different player and he hold high ambition for his club and himself this season. He has also stated that mixing with some of the best players of the world helped him to progress. Now, Manchester Untied fans can feel happy that the club’s ace player is now in his prime form and confident to do better this year. What is more, much of their successes depend on the performance of Cristiano Ronaldo. Now, do you think that he will be able to lead Manchester Untied to defend their premiership title?
