India vs England Test series 2008/09 is in uncertainty

Due to Mumbai crisis, England cricket team cut short their ODI series and flew to Heathrow Airport. However, the Test series which was supposed to kick off from 11^th December, 2008, had been postponed. Not only that the Mumbai attack disorganized the cricket schedule. IPL Champions League could not tale place on the field for the same reason. Now, the two-match Test series is in doubt whether it will be played ever between them or not.

England team has taken 48 hours to decide whether India is safe enough to return for a test series. The managing director of the England and Wales Cricket Board, Hugh Morris, said in a report that being his hopeful about the next month’s two tests against India will take place, the players will not be forced to return if they concern about the lack of security.

Only five one-day international matches of the seven-match Test series took place where India cinched all of the matches and took a 5-0 lead in the series. They were looking toward the whitewash. I have to admit that it was bad luck for India team who could not make it in real.

Is there any hope of taking place the Test series in India? We the cricket fans hope that England team will return and play the test series that will make us happy.

The uncertainty of Indian batting trio in the national team

Twenty20 is a different type of game. No one super star can give any guarantee of their continuous success in this short form of cricket game which is referred as the sport of young generation. However, in the recently held and on going Indian domestic cricket league IPL, there has been seen that Indian batting trio and icon Sachin Tendulkar (Mumbai Indians), Sourav Ganguly (Kolkata Knight Riders) and Rahul Dravid (Royal Challangers Bangalore) failed to lead their team. Form is temporary. This batting trio needs physical fitness to come back in the national team. It is time to see how long they can take play for national team.

ICC warns BCCI over poor pitch

India-Australia First Test: Expectations from Rahul Dravid

India’s tour to Australia will start with the India vs Australia 1^st Test on 26 December. India and Australia 1^st test will be held at Melbourne Cricket Ground. India vs Victoria: 2nd Day Match Reprot

Today was the second day of the first warm-up match between India and Victoria. Like first day, second day was also washed out due to heavy rain. Before washout, India scored 133 for 4 in 48 overs. Today tourist India team started their batting delayed by nearly two hours following the heavy rain on the first afternoon. India vs Victoria: 1st Day Match Reprot

Fans of both teams were excited to know the result about their favorite team as with today’s warm-up match India started their tour series against Victoria. Both India and Victoria are playing a three days test match at Junction Oval, Melbourne. After winning the toss, Indian captain elected to bat first.

Ganguly and Dravid pair added unbeaten 72 runs in a fourth-wicket partnership in the first session that had stopped due to rain. Only six had been hit by Sachin Tendulkar. Wasim Jaffer got out without scoring any single run. V.V.S Laxman could not impress with his batting performance. However, more two days are left for Indian team. Pitch turns into a bowler friendly. And due to bad weather tomorrow both teams will come half and hour before to play the match.

LG ICC cricket ranking has been published recently. Now, in Test ranking many places have been changed within a short time. Australian batsman and Captain Ricky Ponting is now in first position with Sri Lankan wicket-keeper cum batsman Kumar Sangakkara with equal points. Both players are fighting for the 1^st place in LG ICC player ranking. Now, go ahead and see in which position your favorite player is taking.

1. Ricky Ponting:- Australian captain Ricky Ponting is now in top Test batsman in LG ICC Test cricket ranking with the point of 936. He performed well in his home series against England and Sri Lanka. And now his team is playing against New Zealand where he got his 24^th ODI century in the first match.

2. Kumar Sangakkara:- Sri Lankan wicket-keeper cum batsman Kumar Sangakkara is sharing the 1^st position with Australian captain Ricky Ponting in LG ICC player ranking for Test batsmen that is one of the closest battles for top spot in many years taking same equal 936 points. Because of his disappointed performance in second Test against England at Colombo, where he scored just one in first innings and didn’t get opportunity to make amends in the second Test, he slipped down level behind Australian captain. 3. Jacques Kallis:- South African all rounder Jacques Kallis is now in third place in LG ICC cricket ranking. He is just one point adrift from first place. 4. Mohammad Yousuf:- Pakistani batsman Mohammad Yousuf is now in number 4^th position after taking 880 points. 55 points are difference between 3^rd and 4^th place. His tour match in India was not satisfied.

5. Mike Hussey:- After Ricky Ponting, Mike Hussey is taking the position among top 10 list. He holds the place with 874 points at an average of 86. 18.

After them, Australian batsman Michael Clarke, Indian immediate past captain Rahul Dravid and South African Ashwell Prince are taking the place according to 11 ,12 and 13^th position. Indian left-handed batsman and former captain Sourav Ganguly is in 20^th number position after his one double-century and century against Pakistan in home series.
