Australia vs India Twenty20: Squad of Australia team

Australia vs India twenty20 match has become one of the most important match of all ages people. Fans of both teams are eagerly waiting to see an exciting and competitive match between host Australia and tourist India team. Test series has just finished with the result of 2-1 where host team won the Test trophy winning the first two matches. India team again stopped the record of Australia’s 17 consecutive Test win. Now, it is the only one Twenty20 match before the triangular ODI series between India, Sri Lanka and Australia.

India team is still unbeaten against Australia in Twenty20 format game. Both India and Australia faced each other two times in Twenty20 game where India team got win in all matches. So, I hope Australian fans should want to see their favorite team as a winner against tourist India team. It is high time for host team to take revenge for their defeat in Twenty20 world cup in South Africa. Indian team should try to keep their consistency against Australia in Twenty20 format.

Some bad news for Indian team is that two key players Yuvraj Singh and RP Singh will not be able to play in Twenty20 match. Yuvraj Singh, India’s ODI specialist batsman, is suffering from knee injury. So, he will not be able to play Friday’s Twenty20 match. He was injured playing football in training session. On the other hand, RP Singh is suffering a lot because of his hamstring injury.

It is the most important match for Australia team. Australia should try their best to get win. That is why they will select their best players in the main squad.

It is the last Twenty20 match for Australian dominating wicketkeeper Adam Gilchrist. So, Australia team should try to show their best because of their 36 year old star player.

Australian batsman David Hussey, brother of famous cricketer Micheal Hussey, has been named in the squad for the one off Twenty20 game against India. Micheal Clarke has been named the vice-captain. Ricky Ponting will lead the team.

There are some new faces in twenty20 squad of Australia team. They are Adam Voges, Ashley Noffke and David Hussey.

I am giving the squad of Australia team in Twenty20 in below as you can see the players name at a glance:

Australian squad: Michael Clarke, Adam Gilchrist (wk), Ricky Ponting (capt.), Brad Hodge, Andrew Symonds, Michael Hussey, David Hussey, Adam Voges, James Hopes, Brett Lee, Ashley Noffke, Nathan Bracken, Ben Hilfenhaus.

Indian captain MS Dhoni said that the tourists will approach the match as a warm-up for the triangular one-day international series which will start from Sunday.

Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh has been cleared to play in the upcoming triangular one-day series between Australia, Sri Lanka and India, which his racial vilification charge overturned by an ICC Code of Conduct Appeal.

India team is still unbeatable against Australia. Both teams face each other two times where India got win in all matches. So, it is the high time for Australia team to take revenge. Ahead of the twenty20 match selectors have announced Indian squad. Many changes are followed in the squad.

Changing player:

Two big names are missing from the preliminary squad of India team. Yuvraj Singh, ODI specialist batsman, is suffering from knee injury. On the other hand, left hand paceman RP Singh is suffering from hamstring. So, India team should have to select someone to replace these places. It is the time to see who will replace these places.

New comers:

India team has some young but talented faces who are waiting to make debut for their team. Praveen Kumar is the most talented player among the new faces. He is hoping to make his debut in twenty20 match against Australia team. Manoj Tiwary is also another talented player. He was though to make his debut for his team few months ago but because of injury he could not make it possible. Now, Indian selectors may call him in the main squad. But getting selection in the main squad should be a great challenge for him as India has many big hitting players who are best in the new form of twenty20 game.

Now, I am giving the squad of India team where you can see all players name at a glance:

Indian squad: Mahendra Singh Dhoni (capt), Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Robin Uthappa, Gautam Gambhir, Dinesh Karthik, Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina, Piyush Chawla, Praveen Kumar, Irfan Pathan, Munaf Patel, Manoj Tiwary, Harbhajan Singh, RP Singh, Ishant Sharma, Shantha Sreesanth, Rohit Sharma.

It was his fifth Test century against same opposition team India. Only Sachin Tendulkar has posted more centuries than Ponting, Gavaskar and Lara.

Another middle order batsman Michael Clarke, who made 6th Test century against India, put his side to make lead. Michael Clarke scored 118 off just facing 243 balls including 8 boundaries.

Adam Gilchrist, who announced his retirement from international cricket, is playing his last Test. He is the centre of all attraction. Australia team is trying to get win for Adam Gilchrist. Australia team is leading the series by 2-1.

Indian all rounder Irfan Pathan is hoping to get win in the last Test and make the series draw. In five day, pitch should be helpful for bowlers.

The 36 year old Adam Gilchrist made only 14 off just 18 balls. He hit a typical shot to straight drive for four off Pathan but a moment later Pathan took revenge taking the wicket of Adam Gilchrist and fulfills his 100th Test wicket. Tail enders could not make any protest against Indian bowlers.

RP Singh was out side the field because of thigh injury. Both Irfan Pathan and Ishant Sharma took three wickets each. Virender Sehwag got two wickets for 51.

Australian bowler Mitchael Johnson claimed the wicket of Irfan Pathan. Tomorrow is the last day. Anything can happen for any team. If you want to see the result then keep watch the match that will be telecast on STAR CRICKET.

He has amassed nine Test centuries against host Australia team and most of the six Test centuries came in Aussies soil.

It is the 146 Test matches for the 34 year old batting maestro Sachin Tenulkar. When he went to the crease then India was difficult condition at 82 for 2 ten minutes before lunch when Rahul Dravid was out for 18.

Australia vs India 3rd Test: Who will win?

Australia vs India 3rd Test is now the much awaited match to all cricket fans. It is going to take place at W.A.C.A. Ground, Perth from 16th to 20th January, 2008. Match will start at 11:30 local time and 02:30 GMT. Now, host team is leading the series by 2-0 in the four match BG series. Last match was played at Sydney where Australia beat India by 122 runs in a draw match. After winning this match, Australian captain bagged 16th consecutive Test win in a row and equaled their own world record that was hold under Steve Waugh’s Australia team from 1999 to 2001.

The third Test match that is going to start on Wednesday at WACA will attract huge interest after the explosive events of Sydney. You already know that Sydney is the most talk topic because of horrendous umpiring and Harbhajan Singh’s three-match ban for alleged racial abuse against Symonds. And that is why, BCCI announced to pull out the tour series if ICC doesn’t suspension the Harbhajan Singh’s three-test ban.

However, chief of the ICC, Malcolm Speed, clear the appeal of Harbhajan Singh who will be eligible to play Test until the hearing will be announced.

Australia team is seeking towards their 17th consecutive Test win in a row. And they want to confirm it in the Perth Test in their home ground. It is a big challenge for India team to stop Australia team again that they did in Kolkata in 2001.

India last visited Australia in 2003 where they defeated Australia team in Adelaide and made the series 1-1 draw.

Ahead of the third Test in Perth, some questions have arisen in the mind. That are- what will happen in WACA ground, who will win the match, who will be the out form player, who will make record etc. But before finding the answer of these questions, you have to know that both teams will play in right spirit and Australia will show their sportsmanship conduct. Sledging will happen in the cricket field again?

Australian batsman Michael Clarke said that Perth Test would be played in a better spirit, with captains Ricky Ponting and Anil Kumble both calling for clear-the-air-talks.

Some change will be appeared in the third Test. Australian opening batsmen Matthew Hayden, who played in all 16 win, is not sure to play in the third Test and that fall Australia in a big problem. Now, Chris Rogers is hoping to get selection in the main squad replace with Matthew Hayden.

Indian aggressive batsman Virender Sehwag is perhaps to play for his side. This veteran batsman played only two ODIs in Perth and performed well. So, Australia team should try to find out to stop this batsman at any how. His aggressive batting in opening pair can ensure India’s win.

Match result depends on what the WACA pitch will behave with the players. Curator of WACA, Cameron Sutherland, says he has prepared an older strip for the wicket that will be friendly to both pace and spin. But WACA ground is the more helpful for bouncy and pace. So, it is surer that Australian pace bowlers should take this benefit.

It is tough to say what will happen before the start of the third match. If any team can make a big lead in the first innings then it can destined the fate of the luck. So, dear fans keep watching the Australia vs India 3rd Test till the end to know the winning team.

If you have any say or opinion or want to know anything about your favorite team or Test match then you can inform us writing a comment.

Dear fans like you I am also eagerly waiting to know that who will be the match winner team in Perth.

Australia vs India 3rd Test: Virender Sehwag will re-call?

Indian opening batsman Virender Sehwag has caught the light in the third and last day of the second warm-up match against ACT Invitational XI at Canberra showing his impressive performance in the second innings. Now, he is seeking a place in the Indian national team.

Virender Sehwag, who left out from national team for poor form, now hoping to get selection in the third Test at WACA ground in Perth. He compiled 113 from just 78 balls against ACT Invitational XI in Canberra. He smashed 18 boundaries and 2 sixes in India’s 281 for 4 on the last day of the drawn tour match. He crossed the half-century mark in 38 balls. He also made a 158 runs partnership in opening pair.

Now, the third Test will start from 16th January at WACA ground, Perth. WACA ground is different than others for pace and extra bounce in the pitch.

"I have played a couple of one-day games in Perth and done well," Sehwag said when asked of the challenge of playing on arguably the bounciest pitch in the world.

Virender Sehwag has not played a Test in 12 months. He played his last Test at Cape Town. He averages 49.46 in 52 test matches, with a highest score of 309, is working hard for getting selection in the main squad.

Wasim Jaffer, who scored a double century against arch rival Pakistan team, could not show any impressive performance in Australia tour. He scored only 22 (4, 15, 3 and 0) runs in the fourth innings.

However, warm-up match was the last chance for Wasim Jaffer but he failed.

However, India team doesn’t announce their squad ahead of the third Test. But I hope Virender Sehwag should be their first choice.

India's tour of Australia will go ahead

Good news for Indian cricket fans is that Indian team is prepared to travel Canberra ahead of the second warm-up match against ACT Invitational XI as scheduled despite racism and umpiring rows, the Indian cricket board announced here Tuesday.

With the issue of Indian off-spinner Harbhjan Singh ban by match referee Mike Procter, who slapped for a three Test after allegedly racial abuse by Andrew Symonds and horrendous umpiring in the second Test at Sydney.

Doubt over the tour arose after BCCI ordered to stay in Sydney and not proceed to Canberra for a practice match which will start on 10th January.

"The tour will go on, we never said it won't,'' a senior BCCI source said.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has acceded to India’s demand on Tuesday by replacing Jamaican Steve Bucknor with the New Zealander Billy Bowden for the third Test starting in Perth on January 16.

India had demanded Bucknor’s removal from the third Test following umpiring errors in the second Test which Australia won by 122 runs on Sunday to take a 2-0 lead in the fourth-match series.

"It is accepted that Steve, and his on-field colleague Mark Benson, did not have good games by their very high standards and we feel that given the added pressure and attention Steve's presence would have at the third Test, it is better for the match and for Steve himself if he does not take part,'' ICC chief executive Malcolm Speed said in a statement today.

The ICC also decided to appoint a code of conduct commissioner to adjudicate on India's appeal against a ban on spinner Harbhajan Singh for alleged racist remarks against Andrew Symonds.

There is another good news is that Harbhajan may eligible to play the next match pending his appeal against the ban.

Australia vs India 2nd Test 2008: Historic win for Australia

Australia team needs only one Test wins to break their previous record. Today host team has made sure their 16th consecutive Test win in a row. Now, they are eyeing toward the W.A.C.A ground in Perth. Now, Australia team is leading the Test series by 2-0 in the four-match Test series. It will start from 16th January, 2008.

Second Test match has made many questions about umpiring and Australia’s unsportsmanlike counduct.

After scoring 401 for 7 with Michael Hussey scored 8th Test century along with first innings centurion Andrew Symonds who scored 61 runs helped host team to make a 333- run lead for 72 overs in the fifty day at Sydney where Australia beat India by 122 runs in an amazing finish to the second test on Sunday.

Chasing an improbable score, tourists were dismissed for 210 runs. Rahul Dravid and Wasim Jaffer opened Indian innings. Wasim Jaffer again failed to make consistency. He got out before scoring any run. The first bad decision of the final day went against Rahul Dravid who was a key component in India’s stonewalling against Aussies bowling action. He had consumed 103 balls for his 38 when he tucked his bat completely behind pad with all the safety of a Swiss banker and padded Andrew Symonds away. When Dravid fell, India were 4 for 115 and precariously poised. However, no one could play big innings against Australia except Sourav Ganguly who scored a quick half-century in the second innings too. Ganguly batted well as though he was under no pressure. He scored 51 runs off facing 56 balls including 9 boundaries.

Match was going toward the draw but Michael Clarke who made a miracle with the ball snatch the victory from India team. He was re-called for bowling in 71 over and his second over in the inning. However, in his five ball, he claimed last three remaining wickets for 5. He got two wickets in his first two balls and rejected his hat-thrick ball.

MS Dhoni and Anil Kumble tried to protest India team but they failed. Indian skipper Anil Kumble was at stumps with 45 runs.

Andrew Symonds also got three wickets for 9.

Both Brett Lee and Stuart Clark got two wickets each.
