The much awaited Sri Lanka vs IndiaIdea Cup Test series will kick off from 23rd July, 2008 at the Sinhalese Sports Club Ground, Colombo. This closely contested series is scheduled to start at 10:15 local time (04:45 GMT). Before the first Test match of three-match Test series both teams will play a practice match. Now, Sri Lanka Cricket Board XI vs Indians tree-day practice match is going on. Only one day is left to be finished the practice match. The whole cricket world is excited to see this series. No doubt, cricket fans are going to see a rival Test series as no one is less strong. Ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2008, which will take place in Pakistan, both teams will try to give some booster performance.
Indian cricket team is taking 3rd position with 113 rates in 31 matches followed by Australia and South Africa who are taking top two places in the recently announced LG ICC Test ranking. Mighty Australia is in the first position. On the other hand, opposite team in the series, Sri Lanka, is taking 5th position in the Test ranking. The former world cup winning team India is developing and they have possibility to beat any team any time. They showed some impressive performance in the recent years and beat some strong team outside their home ground. They protested the Australia team to break their own record of highest Test matches wins. May be India team is flying high but they should try to take the top position and work hard to make their dream come true.
