India in Sri Lanka 2008: Two uncapped players Rohit Sharma and Pragyan Ojha have been recalled

India will tour to Sri Lanka to play three tests and five ODIs in this year. The series is scheduled to start with a practice match from 18th July, 2008 and will continue till 29th August, 2008. It is such a long schedule so; cricket fans can enjoy the series whole August month. Ahead of the three-Test series in Sri Lanka, Indian selectors have announced a 16-member squad where two uncapped players Rohit Sharma and Pragyan Ojha have been included. The 21-year old Rohit Sharma, who seems to be the future super star, made his debut in one-day cricket against Ireland in June 23, 2007 and played already in 23 ODI matches where he scored 471 with an average of 27.70. He impressed the selectors with his superb performance in the CB series in Australia earlier this year. He played for the Deccan Chargers and continued his form in the IPL. He was part of the Winning ICC World Twenty20 side in South Africa.

However, the 21-year old left-arm Hyderabad spinner Pragyan Ojha also earned a call-up to the ODI side. Pragyan Ojha made his debut in the Asia Cup against Bangladesh in June 28, 2008.

Both Rohit Sharma and Pragyan Ojha did not play any Test match. It is really a dream for them to come true.
