EPL 1 January 2008: Arsenal 2- West Ham United 0

Is it new Arsenal? Today, I was surprised to see the players in totally different style. Well, it was a home match against West Ham United and the Arsneal players were in top form. West Ham United defeated Manchester United in the last match and naturally the players were confident. But today, they were helpless in front of Arsene Wenger’s boys.

BBC wrote:

Eduardo put the Gunners ahead in the second minute, finding space in the box to smash home into the bottom corner.

Anton Ferdinand had a shot cleared off the line as West Ham responded well but Emmanuel Adebayor made it 2-0, slotting home from the narrowest of angles.

The Hammers' attacking threat faded as the game wore on and they ran out of ideas well before the final whistle.

It seems that the influence of Eduardo in the field is making a difference for Arsenal. In the Carling Cup quarter final against Blackburn Rovers, Eduardo scored two goals. Then, he scored 2 goals against Everton.

An amazing finish from the tightest of angles by Emmanuel Adebayor doubled the home side's advantage just when the Hammers looked to have regrouped.

The game was effectively over as a contest by the interval, with Arsenal simply going through the motions during the second half and running down the clock with ease.

However, yet again Arsene Wenger's young Gunners have displayed more than enough character and quality to make a sustained assault on the title over the second half of the campaign.

This was a good turn around from Gunners. I am happy for this and I know that all Arsenal fans are very happy today.
