South Africa v West Indies 1st Test: Chanderpaul's record set West Indies in good place

South Africa vs West Indies five day Test match has already started now. This match has taken place at St George's Park, Port Elizabeth. After winning the toss, South African captain elected to bowl first. However, batting in the first innings, West Indies has scored 408 losing all wickets. Most of the West Indian players have played well. However, Shivnarine Chanderpaul took his 17th Test century against South Africa.

Shivnarine Chanderpaul is the most dependable middle order batsman in West Indies team. He always helms the batting side when his team needs his help. West Indies team has lost their golden time. Now, most of the star players have also taken retirement for international cricket. Only Shivnarine Chanderpaul is still playing for West Indies team since 1994. He has already bagged many records against many teams. He has again proved in this Test match that he has still many talents to give him team. However, this 33 year old player helped his team to make a chasing score against South Africa after scoring century. He scored 104 off facing 253 balls including 12 boundaries.

Chanderpaul became the third player in Test history to score seventh consecutive half-century after Everton Weekes and Andy Flower.

West Indies team is now in good condition of this match because of Chanderpaul. And Chanderpaul is now floating on the air. West Indies has lost their form but Chanderpaul is now going throw into a good time. I hope, he will try to make his record bigger as no one can break the record.
