Liverpool vs Manchester United: Mohamed Sissoko Still Unlikely to Come in

Liverpool vs Manchester United match is going to be one of the big clashes of English premier league 2007-2008. Both the teams are strong contenders for the championship title. So, they will try their best to win the match in order to go ahead towards the English premier league cup. Liverpool now stands fourth in the league point table with 30 points. In contrast, Manchester United is now in second position with 36 points, just a point behind Arsenal in no.1 position.

Now, ahead of the upcoming match, Mohamed Sissoko, Liverpool midfielder, is now unhappy being opted out of the team for the crucial match against Marseille on Tuesday night. So, he is now strongly thinking about leaving the ground at this moment. Mohamed Sissoko expected to be drafted in the final line up in France where his family members were waiting to see him playing. However, Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez did not bring him in the match as Liverpool came up with an excellent 4-0 victory.

Mohamed Sissoko has extended his contract for four year with Liverpool. However, according to him, he does not want to play one out of five matches though he is ready to accept healthy competition for his place. Now, Mohamed Sissoko is still unlikely for the match against Manchester United on Sunday. He joined Liverpool for a £5.6 million transfer from Spanish club Valencia in 2005 season.

It is true that there are many quality midfielders in Liverpool and it is very hard to make it to the final line up. However, Mohamed Sissoko should be given chance to prove his worth as well. Now, let us see if Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez gives him a chance against Manchester United.
