Asia Cup Cricket 2008: Irfan Pathan has recovered from side strain

Tomorrow the most important match between India and Pakistan is going to be held at the National Stadium, Karachi. Wednesday’s match is special for Pakistan team who face a do-or-die situation because one defeat would mean the end of all roads for Pakistan team to remain themselves in the competition. The good news for Indian cricket team is that their in form all rounder and most dependable bowler Irfan Pathan has recovered from nagging side strain. Coach Gary Kirsten said that Irfan Pathan would be available for selection for India’s crucial Asia Cup match against Pakistan. His injury forced him out of all the three Asia Cup games played by India. Now, his comeback in the main squad will help India team to make a strong bowling attack.

expresscricket reported:

"Irfan has worked very hard with the trainer for the last few days to make a comeback and his availability is a definite plus point for us," Kirsten told reporters after the Indian team's nets session.

India is in good position and only one more win would push India team in the title clash against Sri Lanka. May be their important victory will come against Pakistan team.
