Rajasthan Royals won the inaugural 2007/08 Indian Premier League trophy

Indian Premier League has just finished. Rajasthan Royals won the diamond-studded inaugural Indian Premier League champion trophy after beating Chennai Super Kings by three wickets in the final match at D Y Patil Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday. Captain cum Coach Shane Warne finished his job with great respect.
All drama, climax, excitement and fight have finished among eight teams after 44 days. No doubt, Rajasthan Royals proves one thing is that money is not the big face in the sports if you have talent and good understanding among the players. If you have little bit knowledge about IPL then you surely know that Shane Warne’s team is the lowest bidding holder among eight teams in the competition. After winning the toss, skipper of Rajasthan Royals invited Chennai team to bat first. At last they could make a chasing score of 163 for five in 20 overs. Being a destructive start of losing top three wickets within 42 runs inside seven overs, Rajasthan Royals could reach the target point and snatch the win. Sohail Tanvir hit the winning run against L Balaji in the company of his inspiring captain Shane Warne. Rajasthan needed one run to win in the last ball. Sohail Tanvir was on the field with Shane Warne.
The winning team received the winning prize of $ 1.2 million and expensive trophy designed by diamond and gold. The runner-up team Chennai won $ 600, 00. Yusuf Khan become man of the match for his all rounder performance as he scored 56 runs off just 39 balls including three fours and four big sixes with the bat. Yusuf Pathan got three wickets of PA Patel, Vidyut Sivaramakrishnan and Albie Morkel for 22 runs. Australian all rounder awarded the “Player of the series”.
