Rohit Sharma: The best star in the coming era

The inaugural multimillion dollar Indian Premier League has already caught the attention of all classes’ people from all over the world. Now, Indian Cricket board members hope to get some youngsters from this tournament. If I ask to chose any player among the breed of youngsters who will be your first choice. I know the answer will be comprehensive and different. No one is worse than others. So, selectors are also in dilemma mood to select best players ahead of the tri-nation series in Bangladesh and Asia Cup in Pakistan. Former Test cricketer and coach, Madan Lal, thank that “Rohit Sharma” is the best star in the coming era when he asked to name one promising young cricketer of the inaugural IPL.
THE HINDU reported:

“Rohit Sharma has caught my attention among the breed of youngsters who are playing in the IPL. He is the best star in the coming era,” Madan Lal said on when asked to name one promising young cricketer of the inaugural IPL.

However, the former India coach feels that a player’s true worth cannot be judged by the Twenty20 format.

Twenty20 is the shortest format of cricket game and it is not the ideal format of judging a player’s caliber.
Madan Lal, who joined the rebel Indian Cricket League (ICL), also told that one has to consideration his performance in ODI and Test cricket to judge a player.
India
is the first T20 world cup winning team and that is why, they have to struggle hard in this competitive world of cricket. It should be possible if players give more concentration on Test or limited over cricket game.
