Bangladesh vs Pakistan 1st tri-nation ODI match: Match report

Pakistan team reached their 12th straight win and joined the second-longest ODI streak after beating host Bangladesh team by 70 runs in their first one-day match of tri-nation ODI tournament. Heavy shower curtailed the match to 40 overs in both sides.
After winning the toss, Bangladeshi skipper Mohammad Ashraful pushed back
Pakistan team to bat first. Depending on the bat of two half-centurion Salman Butt and Mohammad Yousuf Pakistan could make a fighting score of 233. They could make even more runs if not the Bangladesh spinners Alok Kapali, Abdur Razzak could protest with the ball. These two bowlers got three wickets each.
Chasing this target, Bangladeshi players could compile only 163 for 8 in 40 overs. Wahab Riaz and Shahid Afridi dismissed Bangladeshi batting line up. Both got three wickets each. Mohammad Ashraful made a fighting score of unbeaten 56 but it cam too late. Many young players got selections in both teams. Bangladeshi medium fast bowler Dolar Mahmud made his debut in this match. This 19 year old bowler got only one wicket of Kamran Akmal.

Pakistani opening bowling pair Umar Gul and Sohail Tanvir did their job successfully. These pair became successful to remain
Bangladesh no run till first three overs. Wahab Riaz break threw first wicket taking Shahriar Nafees’s wicket. Cricket viewers hoped to see some run flurry from Ashraful’s bat. However, he disappointed his fans. This aggressive batsman hit only three boundaries off facing 93 balls. Their performance disappointed Bangladeshi coach Siddons. At last Bangladesh team could play until over finish being a destructive start.
