Kolkata Knight Riders vs Chennai Super Kings IPL T20: Match report

Today one of the most important matches that held between Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings at Eden Gardens where Chennai has beaten Kolkata by 10 wickets as per the D/L method in a storm hit IPL tie.

After winning the toss Kolkata captain Sourav Ganguly elected to bat first. However, it was nice decision but some quick loss proves his decision false. After losing two wickets early, Kolkata fall under huge pressure. Because of Makhaya Ntini’s hat-trick, who was the third hat-trick holder in the IPL, Kolkata’s batsmen could not shine well. However, Kolkata Knight Riders made 149 at the loss of five wickets against Chennai Super Kings.

May be it was not easiest chasing score but good enough to fight against Chennai Super Kings.

Chennai Super Kings score a quick 55 runs in eight overs without any loss of wickets until the game came to a halt due to a storm followed by rains. According to the D/L method Chennai was 3 runs ahead of the revised target of 52 runs. Both Stephen Fleming and Parthiv Patel remained unbeaten.

Makhaya Ntini dismissed Sourav Ganguly for two runs off the last ball of his over. Then in his second spell, Makhaya Ntini fulfilled his hat-trick taking the wickets of DB Das and David Hussey off first two deliveries. And that’s how he got hat-trick.

Now, Chennai Super Kings is now taking third position in the point table after addition two more points winning the match against Kolkata.
