Controversial pace spearhead Shoaib Akhtar at last appeared in the cricket field against Delhi Daredevils at Kolkata’s famous Eden Gardens. In his debut match, he got man of the match award for his splendid bowling figure.
Shoaib Akhtar became the fourth bowler to bag four wickets or more in an innings in the IPL. Cricket fans enjoyed his fastest bowling against Delhi. No, doubt, his fastest bowling action had become successful to make fear against opponent teams.
Because of his aggressive bowling Delhi’s strong batting line up seemed faint and useless. He claimed the wicket of skipper Virender Sehwag, Gautan Gambhir, AB de Villiers and Manoj Tiwary in just three overs. Chasting the target of 133, Delhi lost all of their wickets within 110 runs. Captain Virender Sehwag registered his first duck in the IPL.
However, it was the first match for Shoaib Akhtar in the inaugural Indian Premier League. And he started his walking with the great success. Kolkata Knight Riders has also got new life after his join. No one can protest or make impediment against Kolkata team.
