Indian Premier League (IPL): Shoaib Akhtar is free to play in the IPL

Fan of Pakistani paceman Shoaib Akhtar is eagerly waiting to know the hearing against his appeal for five-year ban from international cricket which has announced Sunday. Good news for Shoaib fans is that this controversial he has got green signal to play in the inaugural edition of the lucrative Indian Premier League.

An appellate tribunal on Sunday decided to suspend the ban, which bars him from all cricket in or for Pakistan, until the next hearing scheduled on June 3.

The three-man tribunal board upheld the five-year ban on Shoaib Akhtar imposed by Pakistan Cricket Board on charges that he had committed acts of indiscipline.

No doubt, this 32 year old pace spearhead has many talents to give international cricket for his team. He was signed up by the franchise bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s Kolkata Knight Riders for US $ 425,000 dollars. He was barred from appearing in the Indian lucrative domestic tournament by the IPL council ‘‘in the interests of international discipline’ after PCB banned him on disciplinary grounds last month.

However, all obstacles from his way of playing in the inaugural IPL has pulled up. So, fans of his can enjoy seeing him bowling against opposite team in the domestic league.
