Indian Premier League (IPL): Channel 10 will telecast IPL matches

All cricket fans are eyeing toward the inaugural Indian Premier League (IPL) which is also known as DLF T20 Indian Premier League. Now, IPL is going to launch its first session on April 18 with the match between Bangalore vs Kolkata at Bangalore. However, IPL has become successful to catch the attention of all classes and ages people. Now, Australian sports channel TV channel 10 has bought right to telecast of all the matches of IPL. They will telecast matches for the next five years for $10-$15 million and it will be telecasting it on the free to air channel. This will be Channel Ten’s first foray into cricket. Channel 10 is most famous for motorsports and Australian Rules Football.

Australian cricket fans and general people can see the matches live between 9:30 pm and 1:30 am in Australia time. After 30 years, Channel 10 is going to telecast cricket that is why, they have no cricket commentators. Now, they may hire cricket commentators from Channel 9.

It is really a challenge for Channel 10. It depends on them how they take the challenge. So, we can wait for future to see how the things go.
