India's tour of Australia 2007-08: Squad of tri-nation series

After the end of Australia vs India Test series, a tri-nation series will start from 3^rd February, 2008. Sri Lanka team will play with host Australia and another tourist team India. All teams will play against each others.

Ahead of the tri-nation series, India team has already declared their squad. Many changes will be appeared in India team. Selectors of India team depend on young and inexperienced players.

Sourav Ganguly has been omission from the 16-men squad for the tri-nation CB Series. Young cricketer Suresh Raina has been recalled with all rounder Praveen Kumar in the preliminary squad. Suresh Raina played his last ODI in January 2007. Piyush Chawla also makes a place replaced with Murali Karthik as a spinner.

MS Dhoni, who led his team in twenty20 and an ODI series in his home ground, will led India team in tri-nation series.

Harbhajan Singh, who was banned for three-match, is now free to play pending his appeals.

India team used three seamers in the third Test. They are Irfan Pathan, RP Singh and Ishant Sharma. All of them played well and showed some impressive performance. So, all the bowlers get selection in the 16-men squad.

Sreesanth is likely to come back in the main squad. His selection is depending on his cure on eye disease.

Yuvraj Singh is the first choice as an ODI specialist batsman. He played some impressive performance in Twenty20 world cup 2007. Good news is that Virender Sehwag has been selection in this squad. Robin Uthappa is the most aggressive batsmen among the new comers. So, India team should have to left out anyone. But it is tough to say who will be picked in the main squad.
