David Beckham Eyes to 100th Cap for England

With the hope of playing 100th match for England, David Beckham has started practicing with Arsenal. England will play a friendly against Switzerland next month. This is going to be the first assignment of new coach Fabio Capello with England. Former skipper of England, David Beckham now plays for Los Angeles Galaxy in the U.S.

Beckham earlier asked Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger for permission to allow him practice with Arsenal. London-based club Arsenal headquarters is near from his Hertfordshire residence. So, it has been much easier for David Beckham to continue practicing with a quality team. Arsene Wenger has also given him the permission.

Sportsnetwork reported:

"He wants to be fit when he's moving to L.A. in February so, in January, we give him assistance to work on his fitness," Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger told the Associated Press.

David Beckham moved to Los Angeles Galaxy from Real Madrid last season. However, his performance with the U.S. club has not been so impressive in the first season. Nevertheless, David Beckham has been impressive with England national team. I think, he should be included in the starting line up in the match against Switzerland.
