Sri Lanka vs England 3rd Test 2007: 4th Day Macth Report

Chasing a hard chase of Sri Lanka’s 499, England team scored a lowest score against Sri Lanka team. Sri Lankan bowlers bundled tourist England within 81 runs. Now, against England team is chasing the target to overcome the sure defeat. Yesterday England team scored only 2 runs in 1 over in their second innings.

Chasing a hard target, England already scored 102 for 1 in 33.5 overs in their second innings. Second innings of England team washed-out due to heavy rain that began at the lunch interval in the afternoon session on the fourth-day of the third and final test match between Sri Lanka and England. England team is now 316 runs behind after scoring 102-1 in the second innings against Sri Lanka. Only one day is left to finish the five-day Test match. And if today they can’t earn huge runs then they have to defeat by both runs and innings. England left-hand opener Alastair Cook scored his unbeaten fifty. He scored 53 runs off facing 117 balls. England lost the wicket of Michael Vaughan. Alastair Cook and Ian Bell scored a 35 runs partnership in second wickets.

Sri Lankan players are waiting to celebrate their second Test win against England in home ground. Now, host team is leading the series 1-0 in the three match test series. They are hoping to make it 2-0. And I think it is not impossible for Sri Lanka team as tomorrow is the last day of five-day Test match.
