Arsenal forward Robin van Persie is still in doubt ahead of their Boxing Day tie with Portsmouth. The Dutch returned to the field after suffering from a knee injury for two months earlier this month. However, Robin van Persie was absent in their 2-1 triumph over their North London rivals Tottenhum Hotspur on last Saturday. So, it is not yet confirmed if Arsene Wenger features him in their upcoming clash with Portsmouth. Arsenal now leads the point table with 43 points whereas Portsmouth is in 7th position in the league standing.

I found different news in different websites regarding his probability to take part in the match. Some websites indicate he could be brought on, while some other sites say he will be rested for this match as well. Arsenal will also miss Theo Walcott in the match against Portsmouth. So, it seems that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will have to face some problem with the front line against Portsmouth. Now, let us see if Robin van Persie is given a place in the starting line up against Portsmouth.
