Portsmouth vs Arsenal: Match Report

Portsmouth vs Arsenal match has just ended up in a scoreless draw. With this draw, Arsenal has come down to the second place in the league standing with 44 points. Manchester Untied is now leading the league point table with a point ahead of Arsenal. The match was not that much interesting except a few good attacks from both sides. However, Portsmouth fans must be happy with this result as Portsmouth was facing their third consecutive defeat in EPL ahead of this match.

Both teams missed quite a few easy chances to score throughout the match. Portsmouth defender Campbell played very well with saving some threatening attacks of Arsenal. However, Portsmouth missed the easiest chance of the match on 75th minutes. Benjani made some impressive attacks in the Arsenal defense that all ended unsuccessfully. Achieving a point from this match, Portsmouth is now in the 7th position in the league point table with 31 points to their credit.

Arsenal made most of the attacks in the match. However, they lacked a good finisher. Fabregas led some of their attacks in the Portsmouth defense but could not bring the much-cherished goal for Arsenal. Now, Arsenal is behind Manchester United but it does not necessarily mean that they are out of the title race. Rather, Arsenal is still very much in the title race and there are lots of matches ahead of them to recover. Everything depends on their performance in the reaming matches of this season.

Are you upbeat regarding the success of Arsenal in the coming matches of EPL?
