Barcelona vs Real Madrid: Barcelona to Miss Lionel Messi for Real Madrid Clash

Barcelona will not get the service of Lionel Messi in their upcoming encounter with league leader Real Madrid. Lionel Messi has fallen in a thigh injury in their last La Liga match against Valencia on Sunday. Yes, it is a huge blow for Barcelona before they face Real Madrid. Barcelona vs Real Madrid match is always attractive to the football fans around the world. Moreover the match is also very important for both the teams as they are now the top two contenders of championship race of La Liga this season. The match will take place at the Camp Nou on 23 December.

Real Madrid is now leading the point table with 38 points whereas Barcelona stands second with just four points behind Real Madrid. So, this match is a big chance for Barcelona to narrow down the gap and go closure to Real Madrid. So, missing inform Lionel Messi will be a disadvantage for Barcelona in their Sunday clash with Real Madrid at their home ground.

This statistics does not reveal much of his current form. Besides scoring eight goals, Messi set up many goals for other players throughout the season. Even in the last match against Valencia, he made the plot of two first half goals before going out of the field due to thigh injury.

However, it is also true that Barcelona has some other talented players who are capable of filling up the void and serve the side according to the situation.
