Barcelona to Miss Lionel Messy for Maximum Five Weeks

You already know that Lionel Messi has been out of Barcelona’s upcoming clash with Real Madrid. The Argentine forward has been in superb form this season. Messi has scored eight times this season so far. So, his absence came as a setback for Barcelona ahead of the crucial match against Real Madrid.

Now, the recent news is that Messi will be out for maximum five weeks due to his thigh injury. Messi fell in injury earlier this week while playing against Valencia. He could not even complete the match as he was substituted just before the half time. Barcelona has a busy schedule ahead of them this season. So, missing this inform forward will be a big blow for the Catalan side. In the absence of Messi, Barcelona will look at Samuel Eto’o and Andrés Iniesta to fill up the gap of Lionel Messi.

"It's the worst thing that could happen to Barcelona," "We hope he recovers as soon as possible."- Barcelona’s sports director Txiki Begiristain commented on the injury of Messi.

Barcelona is going to face their arch rival Real Madrid this weekend in a crucial La Liga match. Though the Catalan side is now four points behind the league leader Real Madrid, Barcelona will have the home advantage in this match. Now, let us see how Barcelona recovers the absence of Lionel Messi.
