With the aim of victory two arch-rival teams India and Pakistan will face each other in the group round. This much hyped India-Pakistan match is expected to be an exciting game. It has already spread its excitement to cricket fans. Pakistan team is the hot favorite in this clash. Host team is promised to take all the advantages from home ground. Most of you already know that this match will be played at the National Stadium, Karachi. India-Pakistan match is supposed to start at 17:00 Pakistan time (11:00 GMT).
Both India and Pakistan are in Group B. Now, I am discussing about them in below-
Indian cricket team- India is the most successful team in this tournament as they won Asia Cup title four-time and that is the highest for any team. Now, they are going to play with Pakistan team who got the trophy only once in 2000. However, cricket fans were doubt about Indian batting line up as Indian batting tri is missing for the first time but new comer players have showed their superb performance at the Kitply Cup.
Key players- Many young and inexperienced players have been selected in Indian squad but spot light was caught by opening pair Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir. They also made opening pair for Delhi Daredevils in the IPL. Both Sehwag and Gambhir also demolished Hong Kong’s bowling attack and made 100 runs partnership. New selected bowler Praveen Kumar didn’t miss the chance to prove his talent. However, he showed that pace is not required to pick up wickets. Piyush Chawla is the next big spinner for India. I support him to show his best against rival Pakistan team.
Pakistan Cricket team- With the absence of two key pace bowlers Shoaib Akhtar and Mohammad Asif, Pakistan team looked very weak in the Kitply Cup but Pakistan surprised the whole cricket world after beating India with many new players in the final. Pakistan team is in superb form after getting tri-series win. Now, Shoaib Malik led Pakistan team are eyeing towards the Asia Cup title. That is why; they have to face two strong teams India and defending Sri Lanka in this tournament and try their best to get win. Pakistan is host team so; they should take all the home advantage.
Key players- Pakistan cricket team is full of many new faces. Among new comers, opening batsman Salman Butt is the best players in the team. He already proved his talent with the bat against Bangladesh and India in the Kitply Cup. His ODI century in the final match of tri-series last month would help Pakistan team to make a hard chasing score. Another promising player Younis Khan has got back his form after disaster performance in Kitply Cup by getting two ducks and played just one ball in two matches. He heat his another hundred in the final and proved that he has still something to give his team. Umar Gul is the main pace bowler of Pakistan team now. Sohail Tanvir, who was the top wicket takers at the IPL, failed to show his ability for team. However, we hope to see his destructive bowling action against India team.
