Six teams are expected to play in the forth coming Asia Cup cricket 2008. Pakistan hosts the Asia Cup cricket tournament for the first time. However, it is scheduled to start from 24th June this year. Among six Asian teams only three are seems toughest contestant including host Pakistan. Host team captain Shoaib Malik said that his team is favourite for Asia Cup. However, in their last tri-nation series, Pakistan team beat India in the final match and awarded the title.
Both India and Sri Lanka are the tough opponents against the host Pakistan team. Pakistan team will face their old arch-rival India in a group round. India got a record breaking win against Pakistan and started tri-series as a favorite. MS Dhoni’s India should want to take retaliate for their defeat in the final match of tri-series. On the other hand, Pakistan team should try their best to keep their consistency of getting victory. Weak Bangladesh team can make another upset against any strong team.
