Australia vs India 4th Test: Sachin's 39th Test set India 309-5

Indian batting great Sachin Tendulkar has reached his 39th Test century that has helped India to make a strong chasing score in the first day of the fourth and final Test to make the series 2-2 equal against Australia in Adelaide.

After winning the toss, Indian captain Anil Kumble elected to bat first and compiled 309 for five where Sachin Tendulkar was unbeaten 124 at stumps.

He has amassed nine Test centuries against host Australia team and most of the six Test centuries came in Aussies soil.

It is the 146 Test matches for the 34 year old batting maestro Sachin Tenulkar. When he went to the crease then India was difficult condition at 82 for 2 ten minutes before lunch when Rahul Dravid was out for 18.

He fought hard against Australia along with Virender Sehwag. Virender Sehwag got out after scoring 63 runs to put India 122 for 3. Then Sachin made pair with Sourav Ganguly and V.V.S. Laxman. India could lose sixth wicket if Adam Gilchrist didn’t drop the catch. Now, Sachin was unbeaten with another batting sensation MS Dhoni at stumps. He got two Test centuries in this on going tour.

Now, Tendulkar has already broken the record of highest Test century now, it is the time to see when he will break the record of Brain Lara who is still stand top position after scoring highest (11,953) runs in Test cricket.
