Australia vs India 4th Test: Matthew Hayden will play?

India won the third Test in Perth and still has raised the hope to make the series draw. This is the second time; India has stopped Australia to make their world record tougher. Last they did in their home ground in 2001 in Kolkata when Steve Waugh’s Australia won the 16th consecutive win. Host Australia team is leading the series 2-1 in the four-match Test series. Only one and final match is left that will take place at Adelaide Oval. It will start from 24th January. Fans of both teams can enjoy the match at 10:30 local time and 00:00 GMT on STAR CRICKET channel.

Australian captain Ricky Ponting is hopeful to play Matthew Hayden in the fourth and last Test in the series against India after recovering from injury. With Matthew Hayden, we also can see spinner Brad Hogg in the main squad. Matthew Hayden, who is the permanent member in Australia team since 2000, was dropped for thigh injury in third test at Sydney. Thirty year old Chris Roger made his test debut replace with him in the third test but failed to prove himself as Australia not only lost the match by 72 runs but also lost their way of making new Test world record. This left-hand opener scored 4 and 15 in his two innings.

However, first time Australia team lost any Test in Perth. Matthew Hayden will have to pass fitness test to be assured of playing in Adelaide. Matthew Hayden is also quite sure to play the last Test.

Matthew Hayden, who scored two centuries in Melbourne and Sydney, is now good form. But his getting selection in the next week’s Test match is not sure as selectors want to give me more time to become fully recover.

However, we hope to see in the fourth and last Test at Adelaide oval to play against India team and give us some entertainment with some big shot.
