Top 10 Test Cricketers in LG ICC cricket ranking

LG ICC cricket ranking has been published recently. Now, in Test ranking many places have been changed within a short time. Australian batsman and Captain Ricky Ponting is now in first position with Sri Lankan wicket-keeper cum batsman Kumar Sangakkara with equal points. Both players are fighting for the 1st place in LG ICC player ranking. Now, go ahead and see in which position your favorite player is taking.

1. Ricky Ponting:- Australian captain Ricky Ponting is now in top Test batsman in LG ICC Test cricket ranking with the point of 936. He performed well in his home series against England and Sri Lanka. And now his team is playing against New Zealand where he got his 24th ODI century in the first match.

2. Kumar Sangakkara:- Sri Lankan wicket-keeper cum batsman Kumar Sangakkara is sharing the 1st position with Australian captain Ricky Ponting in LG ICC player ranking for Test batsmen that is one of the closest battles for top spot in many years taking same equal 936 points. Because of his disappointed performance in second Test against England at Colombo, where he scored just one in first innings and didn’t get opportunity to make amends in the second Test, he slipped down level behind Australian captain. Being both two locked in equal point, Sangakkara has the first chance to move ahead when Sri Lanka and England third and final match will take place and if he gets run.

3. Jacques Kallis:- South African all rounder Jacques Kallis is now in third place in LG ICC cricket ranking. He is just one point adrift from first place. He is now in good form and has possibility to push for the top place when South Africa will play against West Indies on 26th December in Port Elizabeth.

4. Mohammad Yousuf:- Pakistani batsman Mohammad Yousuf is now in number 4th position after taking 880 points. 55 points are difference between 3rd and 4th place. His tour match in India was not satisfied.

5. Mike Hussey:- After Ricky Ponting, Mike Hussey is taking the position among top 10 list. He holds the place with 874 points at an average of 86. 18.

6. Kevin Pietersen:- English batsman Kevin Pietersen has lost his place. He is now in 6th place taking 837 points. He has possibility to push his position when Sri Lanka vs England match takes place.

7. Matthew Hayden:- Matthew Hayden, who is the symbol of defensive batting style is now taking the 7th position with 803 points.

8. Younis Khan:- Yunus Khan is now in his prime form. He got his 15th Test century against arch rival India team. He performed well against India team to protest defeat in the 3rd Test match. He is now in 8th position with 799 points.

9. Mahela Jayawardena:- Another Sri Lankan Mahela Jayawardene also named in the top ten list. He is now in 9th position after taking 766 points at an average of 50.41. Mahela Jayawardena has gained three places and is back into the top 10 following his magnificent 195 in the drawn second Test at Colombo.

10. Shivnarine Chanderpaul:- West Indian batsman Shivnarian Chanderpaul is the luckiest number 10 batsman in LG ICC cricket ranking as he is taking the number 10th position with 762 points at an average of 46.63.

After them, Australian batsman Michael Clarke, Indian immediate past captain Rahul Dravid and South African Ashwell Prince are taking the place according to 11 ,12 and 13th position. Indian left-handed batsman and former captain Sourav Ganguly is in 20th number position after his one double-century and century against Pakistan in home series.
