Irfan Pathan Indian left-handed all rounder, who was compared with Pakistan’s legendary bowler Wasim Akram, has got his maiden Test century in the third Test of the first innings against Pakistan at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore. This left-hander made his debut as a bowler in Test 2003 against Australia in the place of Zaheer Khan because of his injury. Before his maiden century his highest score was 93.
Joining in India team he proved his all-rounder performance both Test and ODI. Because of his bad performance of both Test and ODI he was dropped from Indian national team. He was the first Indian player to be sent home mid-way during a tour when was asked to leave during the tour of South Africa. But he was determined about his comeback and also come back in international cricket on 14 September 2007 with a maiden over in the India's super eight qualifying group match against Pakistan in the first ever World Twenty20.
However, he scored 102 off facing 133 balls where he hit 10 boundaries and 4 over boundaries. After his century India set a 626 tough chasing score against Pakistan team. And Pakistani bowlers Danish Kaneria stopped India’s batting after taking his wicket.
