India vs Pakistan 3rd Test 2007: Sourav-Yuvraj pair set India in chasing target

Indian left-handed veteran batsman Sourav Ganguly has scored an unbeaten century in the first inning of the last match of the three-match Test series against Pakistan at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore. India vs Pakistan Test series is now going on. Two arch rivals are fighting against each other with the target of win. After winning the toss, Indian new captain Anil Kumble choose to bat first. Starting was not good for India team. Indian team scored 61 for 4. In this time, two left hand batsmen Sourav and Yuvraj Singh took the batting helm of India team. Both Sourav and Yuvraj set India 365/5 in 90 overs from 61/4. This pair’s 300 run partnership in 5th wicket has already added in the record book. Sourav achieved his 15th Test centuries in 99 matches. It was his second Test century against Pakistan team in this series. Yuvraj Singh also got third Test century. He has got chance in the main squad because of Sachin Tendulkar and MS Dhoni’s injury. However, Yuvraj Singh got out after scoring 169 runs that helped India to come back from danger. Sourav Ganguly has recorded two centuries for the third time in his career. In previous two recorded came against England in England in 1996 and Sri Lanka in India in 1997-98.

However, one day in the five-day Test match has gone. India has lost 5 wickets scoring 365 runs. Sourav is still in crease with Dinesh Karthik. Sourav Ganguly has scored 125 runs after facing 214 balls where he hit 20 boundaries. Tomorrow India will start their batting and try to make a hard chasing score against Pakistan team.
