India vs Australia 1st test: What is Sachin Tendulkar Thinking?

India’s tour to Australia that began with the warm-up match between India vs Victoria has just finished today and Indian cricket team is preparing hard ahead of their first Test match against mighty Australia. First of the fourth-match Test series will start from 26 December on Boxing Day. The five-day Test match will take place at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. It will start 10:30 local time and 23:30 GMT. Ahead of the first Test, fans of both teams are excited to see the match live. India last played their test against Australia in 2003-04 where they got win in the last match and made the series 1-1 draw. No doubt, everybody is waiting to see a crucial Test match between these two legend teams.

May be it is the last Australia tour for some experienced and old players. India’s most experienced players Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid and V.V.S Laxman have been included in the main squad. And obviously good performance of Indian team is depending on them. If they can make hard chasing score against Australia team then they can hope to beat Australia in Aussies soil. It is true that it should be a difficult task for tourist team to beat host and world number one Australia team. Since West Indies in 1992-93 no visiting team got win in Australia.

For Indian batting great Sachin Tendulkar, it is the fourth tour of Australia. He has more experience to play against Australia in their home ground. According to Sachin Tendulkar, “Beating Australia is obviously the ultimate thing because the way they have played for so many years makes it a special tour. Having come here four times, it would be a wonderful occasion.”

Australia won 14 Test matches and they need two more to touch their own record that was set under Steve Waugh. Indian cricket team started their tour with the three-day warm-up match against Victoria that was possible to play on 48 overs because of Melbourne’s wet weather and heavy rain. So, the match was announced to be abandoned on Saturday. During the rain breaks India team trained at the MCG’s indoor nets. Tendulkar also said, “We have come here properly prepared because although the practice match was rained off, we have come here having played Test cricket, which is extremely important.”

Indian team has got win against arch rivals Pakistan team after 27 years in their home ground. And some of their players are now in good form that things are giving them encourage to play well against Australia. Sachin Tendulkar is in good form. He has made 1029 runs at 54. 15 average playing 12 Test matches. He scored 19 runs against Victoria in war-up match. And good news for Tendulkar fans that he has come back from knee injury. So, fans are expecting more from him. Melbourne Cricket Ground is bouncy and Tendulkar is good to play bouncy and fast ball. So, we can hope to see him takes more runs against Australia.

However, dear fans time will say what will happen with Tendulkar. Sachin Tendulkar said his team is now well-prepared. We can see on 26th December in the 1st test how prepared was India team to play against Australia team.
