Everton vs Arsenal: Captain William Gallas Ready to Face Everton

Ahead of Arsenal’s upcoming encounter against Everton, there is good news for the Arsenal fans. Arsenal captain William Gallas has become fit to catch the trip to the Merseyside club on Saturday. Earlier, I wrote an entry on the possibility of injured Gallas to take part in the next match. The French international suffered a foot injury during their goalless stalemate against Portsmouth on Wednesday.

Obviously, it is big news for Arsenal as the defender has been impressive throughout this season. Arsenal has experienced some tough situations this month including their only defeat of this season to Middlesbrough. In the last five English premier league matches, Arsenal dropped seven valuable points that led Arsenal to move down to second place of the league standing with a point behind the leader Manchester United.

So, Arsenal can not afford any more setbacks at this stage of league. Arsenal lacked a quality striker in their last match against Portsmouth. Arsenal will miss Robin van Persie and Theo Walcott for the Saturday match as well. So, Emmanuel Adebayor will have an important role to play along with Tomáš Rosický and Aliaksandr Hleb in their Merseyside clash with Everton.

With William Gallas being available for Everton match, Arsene Wenger can feel happy. The veteran coach of Arsenal has decided to rest Emmanuel Eboué for the upcoming match as the Ivory Coast international has played many games in the last few weeks and he is going to take part in the African Nations Cup in January. Now, let us see if William Gallas can lead Arsenal to bounce back against Everton.
