25 Things You should know about Yuvraj Singh

Yuvraj Singh is the son of former Indian cricketer Yograj Singh and Shabnam Singh who is now the symbol of aggressive batting style in Indian team. He is the only Indian player who has effective fielding performance. Now, ODI team means Yuvraj Singh and his aggressive batting style. Most of the time, he has caught the attention of all media because of his performance in his career or life style. Among new generation cricketers, he is the second cricketer who continues relationship with an actress.

However, I have made a list of 25 things about Yuvraj Singh where you can fine many interesting and unknown information.
  1. Yuvraj Singh is an Indian left-handed middle order batsman.
  2. He was born in December 12, 1981, Chandigarh.
  3. His zodiac sign is Sagittarius.
  4. His current age is 25 years 363 days.
  5. His parents are Yograj Singh (father) and Shabnam Singh (mother).
  6. Yuvraj Singh’s father Yograj Singh was former Indian fast bowler and Punjabi movie star.
  7. He has been member of Indian cricket team since 2000 and made his debut in ODI against Kenya at Nairobi in October 3, 2000.
  8. He could not get chance to show his perform in his debut match but he showed his potential in his second ODI which was against the Australians. He scored a quick 84 off facing 82 balls against a quality pace attacking consist of bowlers like Glenn McGrath, Brett Lee and Jason Gillespie.
  9. Being an impressive performance, he was dropped from India team for the one-dayers against Australia in India in India in early 2001.

  18. He made two unique records in the new format of world cup Twenty20 2007 in South Africa. He hit six sixes in an over of Stuart Broad and took fastest fifty off facing 12 balls. It is the fastest fifty in any form of international cricket. He scored 70 runs off facing 30 balls to claim the Man of the Match against Australia in the World Twenty20 semifinals at Durban.
  19. This was the fourth time that six sixes had been hit in one over in senior cricket. Garfield Sobers and Ravi Shastri did it in first class matches, and Herschelle Gibbs did it in a 2007 Cricket World Cup match against Dutch bowler Daan van Bunge
  20. He has also hit the longest six of the tournament 119 meters and currently is the world's leading 20-20 batsman in terms of strike rate (235.09).
  21. He made his debut in Test against New Zealand at Mohali in Oct 16-20, 2003.
  22. He has played only 20 matches where he got only 3 centuries and 3 half-century.
  23. Yuvraj Singh has already scored 5000 above runs in ODI.
  24. He has got 8 centuries and 34 half-centuries in ODI.
  25. Yuvraj got Porsche 911 car for his 6 sixes achievement by the Vice President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Yuvraj also received Rs.10,000,000 (US$252,716) in cash from the BCCI for his splendid performance in the tournament.
